About
Curiosity about what it means to be human.
Mission
We publish accessible, thought-provoking books exploring the mind, human nature and the strange contradictions of being human.
Our interest is in the stories people construct about their own lives — why we overthink, how we decide, what we create, and the quiet assumptions we rarely examine. Books do not have to provide all the answers. Sometimes the right question is more valuable.
Step In Faith Books is deliberately independent. That means a smaller list, longer editorial timelines, and freedom to publish ideas that don't fit an existing category.
What we look for
- 01
Curiosity before conclusion
We publish books that begin with a simple question and lead somewhere unexpected. The question is often worth more than the answer.
- 02
Accessible, not simplified
Serious ideas written plainly. We believe psychology and philosophy belong in ordinary language, without losing their edge.
- 03
Few books, made carefully
A small list, published slowly. Every title has to earn its place rather than fill a season.
- 04
Human, not prescriptive
We are interested in contradiction, doubt and self-deception — not in instructions for how to live.
